Thank you for this marvelous course. It has surpassed all my expectations. I came not having any experience, not knowing how to put my hands on a keyboard. Now I’m leaving and playing many melodies, knowing ragas that I previously didn’t know anything about.
But above all, the most beautiful thing was all the experiences that Vaiyasaki Das shared with us that have inspired us and filled our heart.
Vaiyasaki Das is a great person and I would recommend this kirtan course to everyone who wants to learn to play harmonium and lead kirtan. It’s a great experience.
It has been an unmatched experience to learn from someone who I am a fan of and admire so much.
The course has helped me a lot to have more confidence in leading kirtan. I’m very happy that I learned from Vaiyasaki Das. I gained everything, because I didn’t know anything. It’s been wonderful to be initiated into the ragas, and learn how to sing.
I’m impressed how patient, empathetic and how much support Vaiyasaki Das gave us to learn. My world has opened to a beautiful musical experience and I’d love to learn more. This course has made me grow as a person.
This has been an amazing course in the heart of Spain surrounded by nature which is the perfect environment for soaking up the rasa of kirtan. I was yearning to go deeper on every level and Vaiyasaki Das has given us all these incredible seeds of ragas and raginis, and nothing feels complicated. This course can really enrich your practice because he’s a wealth of spiritual knowledge.
He can extract the essence and give it to you with such simplicity that I was amazed. People who had never even played harmonium were able to lead kirtan in a group by the end of the week. That was very impressive. It’s been nurturing, enlivening, enriching, and a lot of fun. Thank you for keeping kirtan alive and well in all our hearts.
New Vraja Mandala is like a little paradise for children. There’s a playground, a school, gardens everywhere, and a goshala for protecting cows, so bring your family here when you join this course.
I was not sure if I should take the course because musically I’m tone deaf. I was afraid because I didn’t feel musically capable. But it was a beautiful experience for me. Vaiyasaki Das taught us a lot, with so much patience and love, that I was able to learn a lot.
I would recommend this course to anyone even if they don’t have musical experience. Thank you very much, Vaiyasaki Das. He’s a great teacher, and very inspiring. I have been listening to him for ten years – he’s my favorite singer – so to have him as a teacher was something extraordinary. Krishna has given him a beautiful voice that has touched us, and his course has given me way more, way beyond my expectations.
It was a deep desire of mine to learn from Vaiyasaki Das with so many decades of experience. His devotion, wisdom, and love for music was transmitting the essence of love for Krishna. It’s been a precious experience to learn from his own experiences that he shared with us. As a teacher he’s extremely patient.
It’s been a gift for us all to learn from someone who has been dedicated to share kirtan for so many decades. We want to carry on and come back for the next level course.
The love he transmits in his kirtan, and way of teaching, is a genuine love. It is worth coming to learn and then share.
After an intense week on this course of connecting with God through music and sound, I’m very happy. Vaiyasaki Das has opened the sky for us.
Being introduced to kirtan by him is the best thing that has ever happened to me.
I learned so many ragas, their energy, essence, and beauty to serve God in a more meaningful way.
The course is for musicians and non-musicians alike.
I recommend this course to anyone who loves kirtan or to those who want to connect with the grace of God through music.
I came without any expectations because I love singing and playing harmonium. And a whole new world opened up.
There are so many melodies and ragas that I learned that I can now practice myself at home. My voice is getting stronger as well so I’m really happy with everything I learned.
After finishing Level 1, I wanted to know more of the beautiful melodies that we learned. Level 2 has given me even more that I can really connect with. My harmonium playing was smoother than ever. I was inspired by the different melodies and how you can connect with your voice.
I loved Level 2 maybe even more than Level 1 because we dived deeper into the music, the ragas, and playing harmonium. I’m so grateful for everything.
My heart was opened by the beautiful group experience and teaching of Vaiyasaki Das who has over 40 years of experience.
A very positive experience learning the ragas.
I want to keep learning and practicing what has been taught.
The kartals and mridanga rhythms we learned were very helpful. And the accommodation and prasad was very good.
Even if you already lead kirtan, this course will make you improve.
I’m thrilled to have participated in this wonderful kirtan course. It has been transformative.
The ragas we learned throughout the course allowed me to perform better kirtan.
I particularly like the way Vaiyasaki Prabhu teaches – he is very personal and encouraging. He has been so generous in offering his life-long experience in kirtan to give inspiration, knowledge, and skills which will be very useful for my service.
I was discussing with another student how Maestro Vaiyasaki is like an opera singer teaching us who don’t know anything.
This is a course of miracles, because many of us didn’t even know how to put a finger on a harmonium and we were able to sing and play beautiful ragas. I’m no longer afraid to learn music.
Vaiyasaki Das is very patient and is genuinely happy to see us advance. There’s no one like him with his classical experience, and to learn from such a master is a blessing.
It’s like having Monserrant Caballe or Placido Domingo teach. Also Kishori was wonderful teaching us kartals, especially for devotees like us who have been playing kartals for 40 years, and realizing we had no idea what we were doing.
It was an extremely rich experience: learning all the ragas, melodies, the practice sessions, and breathing exercises. It was all very important to enrich my kirtan abilities.
My harmonium playing was 1 dimensional. Over the last week I added 6 dimensions to what I was playing before. I feel enriched multiplied by 6 compared to what I was able to do before.
I’m very appreciative of Vaiyasaki Das, who is both knowledgeable and patient about helping students progress, even someone who is as slow to learn as I am.
I got an immense benefit from the association of the kirtan group.
I became more aware of the power of kirtan by this experience, and how to really do kirtan.
It was very inspiring. Thank you very much.
